About the speaker

Dr Linda Greenwall BDS MGDS, RCS MSc, MRD RCS, FFGDP

Specialist in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics Dr Greenwall, was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and following in her father's and grandfather's footsteps (both dentists), she graduated from Witwaterstand, Johannesburg, South Africa in 1984.

Working in general practice following her graduation and moving to London, Dr Greenwall began to specialise in restorative dentistry, before embarking upon an MSc at Guy's (London). During her time in practice she developed a special interest in tooth whitening, undertaking extensive research on this subject as part of her MSc studies, not only helping her to gain a distinction, but also becoming the first dentist in the UK to research the subject.

Dr Greenwall is a well know lecturer and an authority on tooth whitening and aesthetic dentistry. She is a Fellowship Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a specialist in
Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics and Honorary Clinical Teacher, King’s College London Dental Institute. Dr Greenwall is also the Editor of the journal Aesthetic Dentistry Today. Linda lectures extensively in the UK and internationally on the subjects of Tooth Bleaching, Aesthetic Dentistry, Practice Management as well as the Controversies Surrounding Tooth Whitening. She is an Associate Course Director for the Advanced Certificate in Aesthetic Dentistry for the Royal College of Surgeons Faculty of General Dental Practices and is an associate member of the Mike Wise Study Group.

2. To emphasise the particular skills which the dentist requires
3. To propose practical ways of improving the quality of the proceedures which we undertake
4. To learn about the range of treatment options available to patients seeking aesthetic treatments.
5. To learn to understand patients objectives for undertaking aesthetic dental treatments.

Objectives
At the end of the day, participants should be able:
● To make appropriate treatment decisions for using direct restorative materials/tooth bleaching on anterior teeth
● To understand the difficulties in determining whether teeth would benefit from being restored with direct bonding techniques
● To be able to monitor their own performance when undertaking aesthetic
