We think that prevention is a key element in the promotion of oral health, and that the Dental Hygienist plays a pivotal role within our preventive teams. And we need you ....... In view of this, Cornwall IDP are offering an annual bursary to a Dental Hygienist and/or Therapist from outside the county who accepts a position as a Dental Hygienist in Cornwall. THE BURSARY We are offering a bursary of up to £1,000, which will be awarded on an annual basis, each year, in August. In exceptional circumstances two awards may be made. The award will be presented to the successful applicant in the form of a cheque. There are no restrictions to how the award may be spent. QUALIFICATION FOR THE BURSARY The prospective applicant should...... .........1) be a qualified Hygienist/Therapist (or a student who expects to qualify this year)...... .........2) be currently based outside the County of Cornwall...... .........3)
have obtained a position as a Dental Hygienist in a practice where the
Principal Dentist is a member of the Cornwall IDP.
